THE CARNEROS INN

Carneros Inn founder, Keith Rogal, had a vision to build a new hotel property that deeply reflected its surroundings and regional history. Charged with creating a signature decorative concept for this vision, I gathered local stories and vintage snapshots from neighbors, vintners and wine growers throughout the Carneros region of the Napa Valley.

In all, over 300 images were collected and re-purposed to hang throughout the property, including the Boon Fly Cafe, spa, main lobby and in every guest room. The stories gathered with each family’s images became part of the narratives used to introduce guests to the property and check them into their rooms. The images also made an important and lasting connection with the locals by honoring and acknowledging them in this new addition to their community

Several images also became part of the design of printed materials including the dining room menus, check-in key folios and spa treatment booklets and were a core part of the the property's marketing efforts with journalists and the press.
